Another Delay on the Print Run

Hello Backers,
I'm sorry to say that we've had another small delay with the printed decks. Our printer is having some staffing shortages and a machine broke, so they didn't finish printing last week as planned. They now expect to finish by next week.
If they finish early in the week, I think most of you (in the USA) should get your decks during the first week of November. If they finish late in the week, I suspect most people will get their decks the second week of November. (Those estimates are based on the fact that it will take a few days for the shipment to get to the fulfillment company, then they need a day or two to check them all in, then it will take a few days for the mail to get to each of you.) And of course if you're international we can expect an extra week or two for international shipping.
Again, I'm sorry for the extra delay, but we are very close. When the printer gives me a ship date I'll post again.

Locking Addresses Soon

Here is a good sign we're shipping soon! I'm going to lock addresses in 2 days (about 48 hours). As posted a few days ago, the printer expects to finish printing next week, then the decks will take a few days to get to our fulfillment company who will need a couple days to check them into their systems, then they will go out to you! For folks in the US you should have them before the end of the month. For non-US addresses, it will depend on the shipping gods. But I'll update when I have more info.

Second, many of you may be familiar with SlyFlourish/Lazy DM. If not, you definitely should be as he makes a lot of videos and a few books on how to run RPGs, especially current D&D. He is now Kickstarting the latest book in his Lazy DM "Empire". :) The Lazy DM's Companion: A book of 5e RPG guidelines and inspirational generators to help D&D DMs prepare and run awesome tabletop fantasy roleplaying games. If that intrigues you at all, you should definitely check it out and at least seek out his GM advice videos.

End of September Update

Hi Folks,
Almost to the finish line! Our printer gave me a date for when the printing will be done: October 12th. Then for US orders the decks will take a few days to get to our fulfillment company, a couple more days for them to be checked in, then 2-7 days to get to you. So you'll have them in the second half of October. I'll post again when the fulfillment company begins shipping.
For international orders, expect them to take an extra two or three weeks. Depending on your country, some will be coming from our US fulfillment company, some from our UK & EU fulfiller. I'll likewise post when I know more.
Also, I've completed uploading all the maps from these decks to our website's Sidequest Decks page. Scroll down that page a bit to find the links to the pages for each of the new decks. I do plan to upload maps for our other decks as well--do you have a suggestion for which deck I should do next?

Printing Update & Map Downloads

Hey folks,
By now, if you've filled out your BackerKit survey and there wasn't some sort of email snafu (Apple's private relay seems to be screening out emails with links/codes for example), you should have PDFs of everything you asked for. If you don't please send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE. Posting a comment that you haven't gotten something takes a couple of extra steps, so I'd prefer PMs.
Also, remember that there is only one 6"x6" Battlemats deck. Because of some limitations with BackerKit--or my understanding of it--we had to associate that deck with multiple PDF decks, so you may see multiple copies of what points to the same file.
On to the main news: the PDFs were all sent to the printer two weeks ago. I hoped that meant we'd get the printed decks 4-5 weeks later (mid September) but my contact at the printer tells me it won't be until the first or second week of October. :( (They are moving into a new facility, and our print order is larger than originally expected.) The printer will then send it to our fulfillment company who will then send them out to you. Fortunately we're printing in the US so shipping issues from China (for example) won't impact us. But even shipping & receiving in the US will likely add a week or so for US orders, and probably two or three weeks internationally.
Speaking of international shipping, we've got shipping to the UK set up (for customs) and we're waiting on a point of contact for our EU shipping but that is progressing. Shipping elsewhere is a lot easier.
Finally, I've been setting up our downloads for the map files of the new decks. We have an image for each map that you can use in a VTT or print it. If the image was made with Worldographer (which is well over half of them) we also provide that so you can edit it. (Worldographer has a free version which will work for this.) I've set them up on the Inkwell Ideas website--scroll down to the links for the new Sidequest decks. This is still a work in progress. At the moment only the first 7 files are available, but every day we'll get more uploaded until we have all of them!
I'm sorry that the printed decks will not be coming for over a month yet, but as I've posted before hopefully getting 33% more (among other stretch goals) makes up for it. I'll post again in a couple of weeks unless we have special news which warrants posting earlier.

There Is Only One 6"x6" Town Battlemat Deck, You Likely Got Duplicate Links To It

Hi Folks,
I'm getting a bunch of questions/comments about the 6"x6" Town Battlemat Cards, which means I didn't explain it very well...
We only made one deck of these. If you'll recall, it was a stretch goal and the size of the deck depended on how many extra stretch goals we hit. Everyone who backed for any of the new decks was to get a copy of it. It has several buildings blown up to battlemat scale from the two Town Sidequest decks.
Because it wasn't a special item you would select in Backerkit--as I wrote it was a freebie for getting the printed or PDF of the Coastal Town Quests, the Frontier Town Quests, the Monster Hunts or the Pulp Adventures decks--I couldn't associate it with just one item in Backerkit. (Or at least I didn't see a way to do so.) I had to tie it to those four rewards separately four times.
I had hoped Backerkit would automatically screen out the duplicates, but it seems it didn't. So if you backed for all four of the new decks you likely got the same link 4 times.
I'm sorry for the confusion. Again, there is only one 6"x6" Town Battlemat Cards deck.
